The Very Fine Art of Hand Rolled Pasta

Posted in Try This by

When we vacation, we each get to choose a cuisine for a night and invariably more than one of us chooses Italian.

Frescos Ristorante in Carlsbad, California saw us twice in one trip and all because of their hand rolled pasta. And a little because of the Creme Brûlée.

How do you decide where to eat on vacation? (My BFF and her family scout out Diners, Drive-ins and Dives and try to hit as many as they can on their drive to Missouri each summer to visit Grandparents).

Comment below and we will randomly choose from all comments and give away a $25 gift card to Someburros, home of amazing kids meals that come with churros and undisputed champion of the best hot sauce in the state!

Mmmmm, Creme Brûlée. Is that your all time favorite dessert? I think mine might be – don’t laugh – apple cobbler. But not with ice cream – just plain. I always make it homemade though, haven’t found a place in town that makes one better than mine. Yet. Any suggestions?

Wow – looks amazing! We try to make homemade pasta once per year (holidays) but this has my itching to get the pasta machine out now!

This pasta was devine! We were lucky enough to eat here twice while we were in Carlsbad, and I ordered this both times! I am dying to make pasta by hand – what type of machine do you have? I was looking at one that attached to my Kitchen Aid mixer but it was kind of expensive. I know you can do everything by hand but I think my arms might tire out. What kind of machine do you have? Do you remember where you got it? Would you recommend it?
