This monument offers a window into the past and was the third National Monument dedicated to preserving Native American Culture. Established on December 8, 1906, Montezuma Castle features a 20 room high-rise apartment, nestled into a towering limestone cliff. The site tells a story of ingenuity, survival and prosperity in a most unforgiving desert landscape.
The monument is approximately 90 minutes from Central Phoenix. To plan a visit, check out the website for more info.
